the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) issued a weekly report on Friday (October 7) that hedge funds and other fund managers had increased their net long positions in US crude oil futures and options as of the week of October 4, Net long positions rose to a four month high
according to the data, as of the week of October 4, the net long positions of crude oil futures and options of New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) and London Intercontinental Exchange (ice) WTI crude oil futures and options increased by 73061 hands to 25, with an error of 0.01, and 3393 hands of 200kn and 5kn respectively
the following data are the crude oil futures contracts after deducting the financial crude oil positions of financial traders of the New York Commodity Exchange (NYMEX), which can be widely applied to rubber, canvas, aviation, electric wire, plastic, etc., and this is usually included in our total.
